Our Year 7 SRB pupils had a wonderful opportunity to send questions to children's book author Kaye Umansky who wrote the book we are reading at the moment: 'Meet the Weirds.' 

We read the book every year with our Year 7 SRB learners but have never before made contact with the author. Kaye was very keen to be involved and answered a whole host of questions ranging from sources of inspiration for plots and characters to more personal questions about her life and other works.

She gave thorough replies to each and every question and the pupils were thrilled to hear their personalised answers. The piece of work finishes with a book review of which the author has asked if she can have copies of! 

Well done Year 7.
