Aspire & Achieve

Earlier this month, we took 61 Year 7 & 8 pupils on their first residential visit to Llangrannog with St Cenydd.  They participated in a wide range of activities such as archery, skiing, climbing, zip lining and go-karting all whilst using their Welsh language skills.  Night time activities included a range of sports and dancing to Hei Mr Urdd where the competition between year groups was fierce.  After a final round of the dance in a ‘last man standing’ style competition, some year 7 girls asked if we could do the Eisteddfod folk dance!  Of course we said yes, and a supersized folk dance competition took place which really impressed the Llangrannog staff.  The weekend was a resounding success as pupils approached it with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.  The sixth formers played an important role in supervising activities and meal times and they really threw themselves into every aspect of the weekend.  Our pupils were brilliant ambassadors for the school and made the staff feel very proud of them - diolch yn fawr!
