Aspire & Achieve

Our Year 7 and 8 SRB class finished their academic year off in style with a visit to the Heliport in Cardiff Bay. Over the past few weeks the group have been studying helicopters as part of their Science lessons which included the chance to create their own paper helicopters, which were then entered into a competition to see which ones flew the best from our top floor window.

C.E.O of GWL Aviation, Mark Faulknall and his team kindly invited us down to meet both them and the Air Ambulance crew. Whilst there, we were treated to a wonderful flying demonstration, we had the opportunity to sit in the helicopters and the chance to ask questions to the pilots and crew. The pupils enjoyed the visit greatly and we would like to extend our thanks to GWL Aviation and the Air Ambulance Wales for the opportunity.
