Year 8 in Miss Adams' class have been examining how a landscape painting is understood by its viewer, how we relate and perceive the artists intentions and memories. We started off by examining the work of Welsh artist Gwilym Pritchard and the memories it reminded us of. From here we moved to the work of surrealist and environmental artist Hundertwasser who uses abstract colours and shapes to represent his memories of a landscape. Year 8 then used their research and influence to recreate their own memories and landscape story of their local community. A brilliant, bold and inspiring outcome by all!
