Students recently had the unique opportunity to try out a new sport during a visit to the prestigious Royal Porthcawl Golf Club. The golf clinic was led by Head Professional Peter Evans and featured a special guest appearance from professional golfer Georgia Hall, former Women’s British Open champion.
The day was designed to give pupils hands-on experience in one of the most technically demanding sports, helping to enhance key physical competencies such as coordination, balance, flexibility, and core strength. Under the expert guidance of Peter and Georgia, students learned the fundamentals of the golf swing, the importance of grip and stance, and how to maintain focus and control throughout each movement.
We are incredibly grateful to Royal Porthcawl, Peter Evans, and Georgia Hall for their time, expertise, and encouragement. This memorable visit has left a lasting impression on all who took part—and possibly inspired the next generation of golfing stars from St Cenydd.
