Dear Parents and Carers of Pupils in Years 10-13
I hope that this letter finds you and your family well.
Following on from my letter earlier in the week responding to the announcement made by Qualifications Wales regarding this year’s examinations, we will be running a series of live assemblies on Monday 25 January for all pupils in Years 10-13. This will provide the opportunity for senior members of staff to explain what impact this announcement has to your child and the plan moving forward over the coming months. I sent an email to your child’s school Gmail account earlier this week with the opportunity for them to ask any questions that they may have in advance of these meetings.
In order for live sessions to run safely and smoothly there are certain protocols that we would ask your child to adhere to, these are detailed in the student video-conferencing agreement. Pupils have received an email with a short video summarising the protocols from Mr Harrison.
The timings for each assembly meeting on Monday 25 January are detailed below:
Year 13 - 9.30am
Year 12 - 10.30am
Year 11 - 11.30am
Year 10 - 12.30pm
Your child will receive an email with a direct link to their meeting approximately 2 minutes before the time above. The link will also be posted in their Year Group google classroom. Each meeting will last approximately 30 minutes. Their teachers will know that they are attending this meeting at this time.
If you have any questions or queries about these live sessions, please contact your child’s Head of Year via email in the first instance.
Yours sincerely
Miss Collins
