Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that this letter finds you and your family well.
You may have seen reported in the press today the announcement by Welsh Government of a change of timescales for the self-isolation period for identified close contacts of a positive case. The 14 day period of isolation has been reduced to a 10 day period of isolation.
This is to be actioned from Thursday 10 December, and will also apply to those pupils and staff currently in self-isolation.
Therefore pupils who are currently in self-isolation will have a new date to return to school. We have four ‘bubbles’ in self-isolation at the moment and these are the revised dates for each of these groups:
9.2.1 – their period of isolation is up to and including Thursday 10 December. All pupils in 9.2.1 can return to school on Friday 11 December.
St Ilan Road Yellow bus - their period of isolation is up to and including Thursday 10 December. Those pupils who travel on the St Ilan Road Yellow bus can return to school on Friday 11 December.
Year 12 - their period of isolation is up to and including Friday 11 December. All pupils in Year 12 can return to school on Monday 14 December.
Year 10 - their period of isolation is up to and including Monday 14 December. All pupils in Year 10 can return to school on Tuesday 15 December.
In my letter earlier this week I detailed our school arrangements for next week, the last week of term, following on from the letter you received from Keri Cole, Chief Education Officer for CCBC.
These arrangements remain unchanged and are:
Monday 14 December - school day as normal for all pupils (with the exception of Y10 as above).
Tuesday 15 December - school day as normal for all pupils. School will finish for all pupils at 2pm as normal.
Wednesday 16 December - blended learning at home for all pupils following their timetabled lessons for that day.
Thursday 17 December - blended learning at home for all pupils following their timetabled lessons for that day.
Friday 18 December - INSET day.
On Tuesday 15 December we will, as normal, hold be our charity day for the autumn term when pupils can make a donation to wear their Christmas Jumpers over their uniform.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely
Miss Collins
