Dear Parents / Carers
I am so very sorry to send you this letter this evening. I had planned to contact you on Sunday. However, a confidential email from me has been put on social media this evening.
I have the very sad task of informing you of the death of Ms Tara Bolton (also known as Ms Frost) yesterday following a period of illness. Ms Bolton has been the Nurture Manager at our school for many years, supporting our pupils as they moved from primary to secondary school, and leading our nurture provision in G1. Ms Bolton has been a treasured and much-loved member of our school community, and we will miss her so very much. Our thoughts are with Ms Bolton’s family and friends at this time.
When we come together as a school community on Monday, we will have assemblies and quiet spaces available for pupils and staff. We will talk about how we will support one another and how it is normal, when someone dies, to experience lots of different feelings like sadness, anger, and confusion. I know you will want to discuss this news with your child to support them, and this is my main reason for writing to you before the beginning of the new half term with this very sad news.
We will offer support at school and please do not hesitate to contact the Head of Year if you feel your child needs extra support. If your child wishes to have support outside of school, Cruse Cymru offers a free service and information about this can be found at www.cruse.org.uk.
I am sorry I have had to share this very sad news with you this evening.
Thank you for your support at this difficult time for our school community.
Yours sincerely
Miss Collins
