Dear Parents and Carers
I am sorry to inform you that we continue to have significant numbers of staff who are unwell and now know that this will be the case for the remainder of this week. As such, one year group will learn from home on Thursday, and a different year group will learn from home on Friday: Year 7 will learn from home on Thursday 31 March 2022 and Year 9 will learn from home on Friday 1 April 2022.
For these pupils learning from home, they will access pre-planned work by our department staff. Remote learning work will be sent to pupil school Gmail accounts and will also be posted on year group Google Classrooms. They will access a St Cenydd Google site where they will find video lessons from teachers in our school for every subject. Although a workbook is provided, pupils should complete their work in their exercise books, on Google Docs, or on paper.
All other year groups should attend school. This is subject to change should we face further staff availability pressures and I will contact you as soon as possible with such arrangements should they be required tomorrow or on Friday.
We will reassess the situation on Sunday, and I will contact you before 7.30pm on Sunday evening should we continue to face staffing pressures at the beginning of next week.
