Dear Parents and Carers
I am sorry that we remain in a similar challenging position due to a significant number of staff who are currently unwell. We will not have sufficient staff to fully open the school site tomorrow and therefore Year 10 will learn from home on Tuesday 29 March 2022. All other year groups should attend school tomorrow. This is subject to change should we face further staff availability pressures and I will contact you as soon as possible with such arrangements should they be required tomorrow or later this week.
Y10 pupils will access pre-planned work by our department staff tomorrow. Remote learning work will be sent to pupil school Gmail accounts and will also be posted on year group Google Classrooms. They will access a St Cenydd Google site where they will find video lessons from teachers in our school for every subject. Although a workbook is provided, pupils should complete their work in their exercise books, on Google Docs, or on paper. Additional work will also be provided for Y10 pupils in preparation for Welsh oracy and this will be emailed to pupil accounts. Please note that there were no timetabled Welsh lessons tomorrow for Y10.
With significantly increased positive cases nationally and regionally, please remain extra vigilant for symptoms and please do not send your child to school with symptoms.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Miss Collins
