Dear Parent / Carer,
Year 11 pupils will soon be sitting their mock exams in lessons. The purpose of the mocks is to support students to develop their examination skills in readiness for the summer entries, and to enable staff to identify the areas where additional support is required. The mock exams are scheduled to take place during the weeks commencing the 7th and 14th of February 2022.
I wish to inform you that the mock exams have been identified within our assessment contingency plan to be used to help determine a grade in the unlikely event that the summer 2022 public examinations are cancelled. Therefore I wish to give you advance notice of this so that you can reinforce their importance to your child. Advice on exam content and revision has been distributed by subject teachers, and Mr Corke (Head of Year 11) will remind pupils of these arrangements in his assembly.
