Year 10 took part in two field trips last week, luckily we were blessed with fantastic weather. They investigated: "Is Newport a Clone Town?" where they surveyed the ratio of chain and independent stores and conducted questionnaires at 4 sites in Newport. On the second trip they investigated: "How do Merthyr Mawr Sand Dunes change as you move inland?" the students collected data about vegetation, soil and wind speed. Year 10 were a credit to themselves and the school and they collected valuable data to process ready for their field work exam in Year 11.
