Aspire & Achieve

Years 7, 8 and 12 had a fantastic time at our annual Eisteddfod this year!  Lots of pupils participated in our on-stage competitions as well as our off-stage competitions.  We had pupils singing, playing instruments, dancing, reciting poetry, acting and doing maths!  It was lovely to see such a range of pupils taking part in a variety of competitions but one of the highlights had to be the Year 12 boys with their rendition of I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.  The pupils in the crowd were a credit to themselves and the school as they wholeheartedly supported every act regardless of year group or house.  It was a very close competition between Llywelyn and Ifor and the judges had a difficult job when it came to deciding on the winners of our final competition - the house choir.  This competition is worth double points and this year we sang ‘Yma o Hyd’ which each house performed beautifully.  Fortunately for Ifor, they came first place and therefore won the Eisteddfod, da iawn Ifor!
